COURSE OVERVIEW:
A session designed to provide the learner with insights on which risk assessment tools work best with different patients and to guide the clinician on the evidence-based approaches to communicating risk

- Understand the importance of risk assessment in patients with cardiovascular disease.
- Apply risk communication strategies with patients to increase understanding of level of risk.
- Develop a strategy to effectively communicate risk using a case-study approach.

Nurses, advanced practice nurses, and other healthcare providers interested in the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease.
